Recorder Tascam DR-70D

The Tascam DR-70D is a 4-channel portable recorder designed to work with digital mirrorless cameras (DSLR), with the ability to mount directly alongside the camera. The Tascam DR-70D recorder is equipped with four XLR microphone inputs with phantom power, as well as a pair of built-in microphones for quick assessment of the surrounding soundscape or video synchronization in post-production. Each input is equipped with an HDDA microphone preamp with 64 dB gain and separate settings. All four inputs are equipped with low-noise amplifiers based on the 5532 op-amp, limiters, delay shapers, and a low-cut filter with five settings.

• Built-in mixer can be used to adjust panning and levels for up to 4 mixed output channels
• Cut-off filter with five settings (40/80/120/180/220 Hz), to reduce unwanted low-frequency noise
• Limiter function can automatically adjust input signal levels (stereo-link possible for 1/L and 2/R)
• Delay function for correcting the distance between microphones (+/- 150 ms)
• Mid-side decoding function allows adjusting the side sensitivity of the microphones
• Slate tone function (automatic/manual mode)
• Selectable slate tone insertion points (start of recording, or record start and finish)
• File name format can be set to use a specific user word or date
• Dual recording function allows simultaneous recording of two files at different levels (-1 dB and -12 dB)
• Automatic file splitting (duration set in advance)
• Track increment function allows splitting a file to create a new file during recording
• Recovery function remembers the playback position when the device is turned off
• Up to 99 markers can be added to a single recording (marker information can be used in software supporting the BWF format)
