Tascam DR-701D – a portable recorder for digital DSLR cameras. Designed for the needs of professional directors, television producers, and documentarians. Equipped with 2 built-in omnidirectional microphones, 4 XLR + TRS inputs, and allows recording up to 6 tracks simultaneously. Recording is done on an SD/SDHC/SDXC card in WAV/BWF format and at a resolution of up to 24-bit/96 kHz (up to 24-bit/192 kHz when recording only 2 tracks).

The Tascam DR-701D can be powered by 4 AA batteries, via USB bus, or from the optional PS-P515U AC adapter or BP-6AA battery pack. Various synchronization functions via time code and HDMI. The Tascam DR-701D audio recorder can receive time code from cameras that support its transmission via HDMI. You also have the option to start and stop recording via the corresponding signal from the camera transmitted through HDMI.
The portable multi-channel recorder DR-701D is ideal for use in video production. The device provides time code reception from cameras supporting its transmission via HDMI. The Tascam DR-701D uses operational amplifiers from Texas Instruments OPA1652. A/D converters that convert analog signals to digital are made by Asahi Kasei Corporation and are similar to those used in the top models of the Tascam DR line.
For all 4 inputs, independent recording level controls and pan adjustment are provided. Among other features of the device, we note the switchable limiter, low-cut filter with 5 settings, delay function for adjusting the distance between microphones, and a separate headphone jack providing an output power of 20 mW per channel. The Tascam DR-701D is also equipped with a Mid-Side decoding function for use with MS stereo microphones.
