MOTU UltraLite-mk3 Hybrid

Audio interface USB 2.0 / Firewire, 24-bit/192kHz, DSP mixer, 10 inputs, 10 outputs, 2 mic preamps, 48V, SPDIF, MIDI I/O, stand alone mode

The company MOTU has introduced UltraLite-mk3 Hybrid – an audio interface that combines FireWire and USB2 for Mac and Windows.

In UltraLite-mk3 Hybrid, you will find such indispensable features and functions for any musician as a multitude of input-output channels, including 2 connectors for connecting microphones and other instruments, 10 inputs, 10 channels of analog output, as well as stereo S/PDIF output and stereo headphone output.

UltraLite mkIII (UltraLite mk3) Hybrid provides professional audio quality up to 192 kHz, as well as a multitude of inputs/outputs, including two microphone/instrument inputs, 6 line-level analog inputs, 10 channels of analog outputs, stereo S/PDIF, and a separate headphone output. The device is enclosed in a sturdy compact case, allowing you to take it anywhere. UltraLite mkIII is equally suitable for both studio and stage, with or without a computer. The device can work both as an interface and as a standalone mixer, providing 10 separate inputs and 14 separate outputs. Connect all your studio components, including microphones, guitars, synthesizers, keyboards, drum kits, effect processors, and even MIDI devices.

Record, track, and process incoming data using the built-in professional digital mixer CueMix FX – with no latency and processor loading. Apply hardware DSP effects to inputs, outputs, and buses regardless of the computer. Add Classic Reverb™ with a length of up to 60 seconds. Further process your sound using a 7-band parametric equalizer, the filter types of which are carefully modeled after British console equalizers. Choose one of two compression types: traditional compressor or Leveler™, an exact model of the legendary optical compressor LA-2A™, providing vintage sound and automatic gain control. Set the necessary parameters of the hardware mixer, disconnect UltraLite mkIII from your computer, and use it as a standalone mixer with effects. All mixing and effects parameters can be adjusted on the front backlit LCD panel. UltraLite mkIII ensures compatibility with Mac and Windows and is compatible with any audio software and host applications on WDM/ASIO/Core Audio drivers. You can also use the included AudioDesk software for Mac, with capabilities for 24-bit recording, editing, and 32-bit mixing, processing, and mastering.

Hybrid FireWire/USB2
The UltraLite-mk3 is the first "hybrid" audio interface that provides flexibility and mobility of operation, thanks to connection to the computer via FireWire (400 Mb/s) or high-speed USB2 (480 Mb/s).
When operating via FireWire for powering the device (including phantom power 48V for two microphone inputs), it is sufficient to connect to the computer. When operating via USB2 or in standalone mode, a power adapter will be required.

Microphone/instrument inputs
Two microphone/guitar inputs are equipped with high-quality preamps, overload protection, and everything necessary for recording a microphone or guitar with excellent sound quality. Each input is equipped with its own 48V phantom power switch and 20dB switch.

Digital precision, analog convenience
Preamps provide gain of 60 dB, which can be adjusted with precision up to 1 dB using a fixed digital encoder. By turning the encoder, you will see feedback displayed in both graphical and digital format on the front LCD panel. So you will know exactly the amount of gain being adjusted. Analog gain adjustment
