AKG WMS 4000 Wireless System with Handheld Microphone

The AKG WMS 4000 wireless microphone system is one of the most advanced wireless systems, optimally combining all the most successful and significant technical achievements used in high-end wireless systems by global manufacturers, and unique innovations developed by AKG engineers and first applied in this system.
Of course, the WMS 4000, which includes the receiver SR 4000 and transmitters HT 4000 or PT 4000, can be considered a traditional "transmitter-receiver" pair, but only with better technical and functional characteristics. However, the complex of more than 10 devices and instruments created specifically for it makes it possible to speak of the WMS4000 as the most professional and ergonomic system solution for any sound reinforcement tasks. After all, for the first time, by purchasing additional devices and instruments created for it, users will truly save money, choosing only what is necessary for solving their tasks, without overpaying for a "cannon" to "shoot at sparrows".
Active splitters, three types of antennas, antenna amplifiers, stationary and antenna power supplies, a revolutionary "smart" battery charging device for the world of wireless systems, a multi-channel headphone amplifier-distributor, and finally, a device called Network concentrator, supported by software for PC and Mac – all this will allow professionals to forget about the need to show ingenuity when tuning radio channels in rooms that generate all sorts of parasitic frequencies instead of absorbed carriers. This will help "punch through" hundreds of meters of stadiums, combining VHF and UHF systems when channels are lacking at mega-concerts, etc.
Now it will take very little time to determine the assortment and purpose of the devices in the WMS4000 complex.

Description of AKG SR4000

The receiver operates using a system to prevent loss of communication between the transmitter and receiver – Diversity, and has a sturdy shielding metal housing; Each receiver has the ability to be reconfigured within the UHF band with a width of 30 MHz. The total number of operating frequencies available for tuning in each of the six released bands is 1200; A preliminary test signal allows obtaining information about the transmitter's status on the receiver's display in silent mode before its full activation (Mute switch position, battery charge level, frequency to which the transmitter is tuned); Remote control of the receiver from a computer is possible, which is especially relevant in a large system complex, and there is a logical output for controlling external devices, such as an automatic mixer; Functions Auto Setup, Environment Scan, and Rehearsal ("rehearsal" function); All information in the form of glowing digits and symbols is displayed on the large receiver display or on the computer monitor, parameter control and information retrieval is done using a jog wheel.

Handheld transmitter HT 4000 with dynamic head.

- Professional "handheld" transmitter with the ability to use six interchangeable microphone capsules, has a sturdy shielding metal housing;
- Each transmitter has the ability to be tuned within the UHF band with a width of 30 MHz. The total number of operating frequencies available for tuning in each of the six released bands is 1200.
- The output power of the transmitter is 30 mW (ERP) – the maximum for similar devices today. Some manufacturers specify much higher values, for example, you can find the output power of the radio signal "max. 50 mW". The whole difference lies in the measurement method. In the described cases, the power of the signal is measured inside the device at the point of the transmitter circuit where the value is maximum. This is known as contact power. Based on this value, one can only indirectly judge the radiation power of the transmitter.
