Guitar processor Two Notes Torpedo C.A.B. Speaker Simulator - $350
Specifications
Condition
Exclusive Torpedo technology.
High-realism speaker emulation is achieved through the use of convolution. Two Notes started with this technology and advanced it much further to accurately reproduce the characteristics of the entire microphone chain (speaker, microphone, preamp, studio room acoustics).
Many parameters affect the sound of your guitar or bass when it comes to recording. A careful selection of cabinet and microphone will greatly enhance the sound of your takes. Torpedo modeling reproduces the slightest changes in cabinet behavior (for example, its frequency response). Move the microphone in the virtual studio thanks to Torpedo IR synthesis: all the settings needed to achieve excellent recordings are here.
APPLICATIONS
Control your Torpedo and access the Two Notes boutique
With an intuitive and user-friendly interface, Torpedo Remote will give you access to all the parameters of your Torpedo, including loading and saving presets, uploading new IRs, and updating the device's firmware. You can choose any speaker cabinets from the Two Notes store, preview them on your tracks in real-time, and purchase the ones you like.
Arcade or Simulation Mode
We borrowed the Arcade VS Simulation concept from the world of video games.
Arcade mode usually represents a simple way, for example, to control a racing car. You may encounter obstacles, collide with other cars, but you can still win the race. We recommend starting your first experience with The Torpedo CAB in the preset Arcade mode to better familiarize yourself with the concept of the virtual microphone.
Simulation mode is not for beginners and requires more experience and knowledge of how the machine actually works, depending on a multitude of tiny but still important parameters (weather, tire type, track design...). In this preset mode, you will have access to the full list of parameters that allow you to finely tune the sound and make it perfect for your ears.
Connections
Torpedo CAB sits on the pedalboard, after the preamp, among regular pedals. The best results are achieved when placed before time-based effects and modulation effects (chorus, delay, reverb...), which then become brighter and clearer. This position also allows you to take advantage of the possible stereo effect of these effects. This is similar to how it is done in the studio, where modulations are often applied to guitar and bass tracks after recording.
Torpedo in stompbox style
We know you love those little effect pedals, and we definitely want you to use them with our Torpedo CAB. Place it at the end of the effects chain, and everything needed to carry your amplifier will disappear. Connect it to a sound system, and you will be ready to work with great sound.
2 assignable footswitches.
The Torpedo CAB pedal is equipped with 2 user-assignable footswitches. Assignable functions include preset selection, bypass, turning off sound...
