The two-channel USB audio interface Tascam US 2x2 is an entry-level model made in a fully aluminum case with a very minimalist design. The external sound card is compatible with Mac and PC platforms, as well as supporting iOS devices.

Tascam US 2x2 supports recording and playback modes up to 24-bit 96 kHz. It is equipped with two microphone/line inputs implemented on combined XLR/TRS connectors. Phantom power +48 V is provided for condenser microphones, and high-quality discrete Ultra-HDDA preamps ensure low distortion and noise levels. Using switches on the front panel, inputs 1 and 2 can be reassigned to instrument inputs, allowing direct connection of an electric guitar. Additionally, Tascam US 2x2 has MIDI input and output, as well as two balanced TRS line outputs.

The headphone amplifier has a power of 18 mW per channel at a load of 32 ohms. The front panel of the device has separate signal level controls for both outputs.
