Shure ULXD1 G50 is a belt pack transmitter that is part of the professional digital wireless system ULX-D. The G50 model operates in the frequency range of 470–534 MHz. The device is designed for use with lavalier and headset microphones, as well as with instruments (guitars, bass guitars) via the appropriate cable.

The transmitter is made in a sturdy yet lightweight die-cast aluminum housing, ensuring reliability during active stage use while simultaneously reducing weight.

High-Quality Digital Audio

ULXD1 delivers exceptional sound quality thanks to uncompressed digital transmission. The transmitter's frequency range is 20 Hz – 20 kHz with a flat frequency response, and the dynamic range exceeds 120 dB. The signal delay is less than 2.9 ms.

AES-256 Encryption Technology

For applications requiring protection of the audio signal from interception (confidential events, government institutions, corporate meetings), the transmitter supports 256-bit AES encryption. This feature ensures the security of wireless transmission.

Intelligent Gain Control (Gain Ranging)

Shure's Gain Ranging technology automatically optimizes the input signal level, providing the full dynamic range of the system regardless of the type of connected source (microphone or instrument).

High Reliability RF Connection

The transmitter provides stable operation at distances of up to 100 meters in direct line of sight. Three output power levels are available: 1 mW, 10 mW, and 20 mW, allowing adaptation of the transmission range to specific conditions.

Power Supply and Operating Time

ULXD1 supports two types of power supply:

• 2 AA (alkaline) batteries — up to 11 hours of operation

• Shure SB900 battery (lithium-ion) — up to 12 hours or more

When using the lithium-ion battery SB900, the receiver display will show the exact operating time in minutes, not just the charge level.

External Charging Contacts

The transmitter housing is equipped with external contacts for charging in a docking station. This allows charging the SB900 battery without removing it from the transmitter, using the SBC200 or SBC800 chargers.

Control and Interface

• Backlit LCD Display — clear screen for menu navigation and parameter control

• Control Buttons — intuitive menu for setting frequency, output power, and other parameters

• TA4M Connector — 4-pin miniature connector for connecting Shure microphones and instrument cables

• Removable 1/4 Wave Antenna — replaceable in case of damage or for using an external antenna

• Power and Menu Lock — protection against accidental shutdown or changes to settings during a performance

Compatibility

The ULXD1 transmitter is compatible with all ULX-D series receivers, including models:

• ULXD4 (single-channel)

• ULXD4D (dual-channel)

• ULXD4Q (quad-channel)

Synchronization of the transmitter with the receiver is performed via the IR Sync port — simply point the synchronization windows at each other and press the Sync button on the receiver.
