All necessary inputs and outputs

4 combo inputs with Scarlett microphone preamps and 2 upgraded instrument inputs with high overload headroom allow recording any combination of instruments and vocals. Connect synthesizers, keyboards, mixers, or controllers to the 4 additional line inputs on the back panel, as well as any equipment with digital input/output to SPDIF for recording 10 channels simultaneously. Connect OctoPre via ADAT, expanding the system to 12 microphone preamps and 16 analog inputs. 2 independent headphone outputs allow sending personal monitor mixes to two musicians or a musician and a sound engineer, while 2 balanced outputs are provided for studio monitors. With MIDI compatibility, you can also integrate your favorite synthesizers with software.

The Scarlett second generation lineup is packed with updates. The new extremely low latency will give confidence to your performance, allowing you to record and monitor the signal with software effects in real-time. New metal gain knobs and a red chassis highlight the updated industrial design of the interface, made to take it anywhere. The new Scarlett series operates at a sampling rate of up to 192 kHz, and the input channels are also not standing still. The latest microphone preamps have a more detailed gain structure, allowing for more precise volume level setting. The instrument input has been completely updated to handle the most overloaded guitars. Finally, Focusrite has implemented protection for analog circuits on all inputs and outputs to protect the interface from unwanted voltage spikes.

The software package includes “Focusrite Control”, a brand new software mixer for easy monitoring configuration and routing setup. Simple and intuitive to use, Focusrite Control features a traditional mixer workspace and provides instant access to the interface's internal functions.
