Active DI box BSS AR-133 description:
Professional active direct box for rentals and installations where high reliability and quality are required.
The device comes standard with phantom power and batteries. In case of failure or accidental disconnection of phantom power from the console, AR-133 automatically switches to power from internal batteries, ensuring uninterrupted operation.
The device is housed in a sturdy pressed aluminum case with strong polyurethane side stands, giving AR-133 a very attractive appearance.
The presence of 1/4" and XLR input connectors means that AR-133 can be used to convert unbalanced signals to balanced and output via XLR.
The curved case allows cables to be routed underneath the device.
Input attenuation can be 0, -20, or -40 dB, allowing the device to work with instruments, line levels, or amplifier levels at the inputs. On the output side, there is a ground switch for quick troubleshooting of ground loop issues.
The AR-133 uses an improved version of the audio path used in the AR-116, which many people still consider a benchmark. The sound quality is simply legendary, especially for acoustic and bass guitars.
AR-133 is capable of meeting the demands of many applications. For example, just like traditional use with a guitar, AR-133 can be used with keyboards, DJ consoles, amplifier outputs, and other electronic sources.
An additional bonus is the ability of AR-133 to function as a balancing device.
