Apogee Electronics, a well-known manufacturer of professional studio equipment, has released an audio interface with a FireWire 400 bus, primarily aimed at the mass market. The new product is designed for Apple Mac computers. It integrates with Apple Logic Pro, Soundtrack Pro, and GarageBand. Duet features a 2x2 analog channel configuration. In addition to line signal reception mode, the inputs can utilize microphone preamps with 75 dB gain, as well as two guitar preamps. The output channels are duplicated at the headphone output.
