QSC CX168 Power Amplifier

CX168 is a modern eight-channel amplifier with professional sound and thoughtful engineering, designed in a small and lightweight form factor, ideal for multi-zone audio systems. QSC's extensive experience in developing power amplifiers has allowed for the creation of a versatile, reliable, and convenient tool that will be a central component of your audio system for years to come. Like the entire CX series, the CX168 features exclusive PowerWave power-on technology, which provides high performance, quiet operation, and compact dimensions with lightweight. An intelligent protection circuit is also included to protect your acoustics from overload, short circuits, voltage spikes, etc. The CX168 includes 4 HD15 DataPorts (one for each pair of channels) for remote control or DSP. These ports allow control of each pair of channels via QSControl, enabling the system operator to monitor gain levels, overload, and overheating, as well as numerous additional system parameters. They can also be used to connect signal processing equipment, such as the QSC DSP-3, which offers two channels of independent digital signal processing - including crossover filters, signal delay, compression, limiters, and parametric filters.

In bridge mode, the CX168 can be configured as a 4-, 5-, 6-, 7-, or 8-channel unit. To facilitate audio system connections, the amplifier is equipped with removable Phoenix-type input and output connectors. All mode switches are grouped on the rear panel, with one switching pair per channel. These switches are designed to enable/disable clip limiters and LF filters, select LF filters, and operating modes. LED indicators on the front panel indicate Bridged or Parallel mode, as well as Signal and Clip status.
